Built with Taylor's jumbo-style Grand Orchestra body shape, this custom built guitar features beautifully quilted AA-grade Big Leaf maple back and sides paired with a Lutz spruce top for exceptional power and clarity. Visually, it's stunning. Played, it meets expectations for a guitar of this caliber. Heard, it blows you away.
This design was seen at Taylor's Catch Event at NAMM (a special event held for dealers on the rooftop of a hotel in Anaheim, featuring the best of custom builds that Taylor has to offer). As soon as we saw it, we knew we had to have it.
Custom appointments include a gorgeous maple neck, a cocobolo backstrap, peghead veneer and body binding, a single-ring Art Deco rosette in cocobolo and maple with a bound soundhole, and S-curve inlays in cocobolo and agoya (a shell material similar to mother-of-pearl). Gotoh 510 tuners in antique gold, bone bridge pins with iridescent Australian opal dots, and ES2 electronics finish it off.
A glossy Antique Blonde finish really catches your eye (and anyone else that sees this guitar). This light and responsive instrument offers a dynamic range and vibrant tone that satisfies a variety of playing styles and genres, with the aesthetic appeal to match. It's truly one of the nicest Taylor guitars we've ever had. For those that appreciate the quality craftsmanship and unique nature of guitars like this, it would be hard to top this one.
