Originally introduced in 1964, the Fender Vibro Champ is a 5-watt, easily portable amp that packs a punch.  This version was only built for a few years, (64 - 67), until the new Silverface amps came out.  It's based on the original champ, but with a tube tremolo circuit added.  It quickly became a favorite of players that wanted classic Fender tone in a small box, and over the years it became studio staple and heard countless recordings.

We have a great example here, built in 1965, and having withstood the test of time.  All original except for the speaker (a Weber was installed) and the plug was changed to a 3-prong for safety. The amp is in fantastic condition, especially since it is over 50 years old.  It's been vetted and tested to perfect working order.  And, of course, it sounds amazing!

It's truly one of the coolest small amps Fender ever designed. The Fender Vibro Champ has a unique tremolo circuit (Fender mistakenly called it Vibrato) that many claim is the best sounding one of any Fender amp.  Fender’s “brownface” series era of amps was from 1960 to 1963. The “blackface” series starting in 1964 and went to 1967. Next was Fender’s “silverface” era. The “blackface” Fender Vibro Champ was one of the few amps produced by Fender that its circuit actually remained mostly untouched throughout the years. The first Fender amp to have an effect built right into the amp. Later “silverface” Vibro Champs are pretty much the same amp specs with a different aesthetic and slight changes to the circuit.

We don't see many of these, and were excited to see it coming through the door.  We have a feeling it will be going back out the door soon.
