Used And Vintage Electric Guitars

You see a fin in the distance, it seems to say EVH, it's too late. The aggressive tone beast takes a bite out of you with its with massive tone. Here is this EVH Shark Destroyer in the iconic red strupe finish.

This is the aptly named the "Shark,"  that Eddie Van Halen took his angular offset axe and sawed a chunk out of the body, leaving jagged edges in the wood that resembled teeth. After applying a coat of silver paint, Eddie added tape in his famed striped pattern and then grabbed a rattle can of burgundy Schwinn bicycle paint to finish the job. The final striped creation was initially seen live during the first Van Halen World Tour in 1978, but became more widely known and adored by fans after appearing on the back cover of Van Halen's 1980 album, Women and Children First.

This high-performance guitar boasts an angular ash body and a sturdy set maple neck that has been expertly carved into a modified "C" profile. The neck also features a "hockey stick" headstock and the same iconic striped design on the back, while the 12"-16" compound radius Pau Ferro fingerboard offers 22 jumbo frets and white dot inlays for buttery smooth playing.

The Shark is packed with custom designed EVH Wolfgang alnico 2 Humbucker bridge and neck pickups, a perfect set of pickups to give you the best of power, punch, and articulation. You get plenty of sustain as well. These pickups are suited for clean or let loose with high gain playing. The bridge pickup features parchment bobbins with metal braid wire, while the neck pickup features black bobbins with metal braid wire. There is a low-friction volume knob with treble bleed provides for unmatched performance and even-volume tapering for the smoothest volume swells, while a chrome-plated solid-brass harmonica bridge provides tone and sustain. You get black numbered speed knobs, three-way toggle switch housed on a brass mounting plate, brass nut, gold and chrome custom EVH-stamped Gotoh tuners. And of course chrome eye hooks with turnbuckles to emphasize its distinct look as the apex predator of tone.

This beast is in excellent condition, was originally bought from Truetone not too long ago, and kept in great shape by the owner.  As an added bonus, the guitar comes with a hardshell case.  It's been setup to play perfectly and is ready for a feast!
