A limited edition version of a historically significant amp, this Fender Special Run '65 Princeton Reverb features a super cool aesthetic and upgraded speaker.  When was the last time you saw a Princeton in green?  Specifically British Green with a wheat grill cloth?  That, along with the Celestion G12-65 speaker (note that it's a 12", compared to the normal spec 10"), really makes this amp stand out.

Used on countless hit songs for decades,, the '65 Princeton Reverb is still today as phenomenal looking, sounding and performing as ever.  Easily versatile enough to go from the living room to the recording studio to the gig with the great sound, style, reliability and authentic vintage vibe that Fender players know and love. One of the coolest amps around, period, it's ideal for anyone who demands top-notch tube tone, naturally dynamic clean and overdriven sound, and unmistakable long-spring Fender reverb and tube vibrato.

Putting a 12" speaker into a Princeton has been a common mod for years.  Fender recognizes this, and while most '65 Princeton Reverbs have the classic 10" speaker setup, special runs like this sometimes get done with the larger speaker.  The choice of a Celestion G12-65 is perfect.  Originally created in the late 70s using more modern materials and techniques for a higher power handling it is widely regarded as one of the best speakers ever produced. With its fast attack and tightly controlled low-end, the G12-65 has become a firm favorite with players.  The preciely tuned mid-range and crisp defined top-end contribute to an aggressive crunch sound that punches through the mix while the mid-range warmth and detail give weight and depth to single notes.
