Used And Vintage Electric Guitars

If you're looking for a '70s Fender Telecaster with significant player mods, here you go! We have this vintage 1975 Fender Telecaster in Blonde with plenty of modifications including 3 pickups, which take its versatility to another level.

1975 was a big year: the Vietnam War ended, the movie Jaws came out in theaters, and Led Zeppelin released Physical Graffiti.  And, of course Fender made this guitar, so let's get back to it.....

This Telecaster has your traditional single-cut slab body in a blonde finish with an honest vintage hue. It still has has a 4-bolt maple neck, a slim profile, and is topped with a snappy maple fingerboard. But that's not why you're here, what about the mods?!  Well, here we go:

The guitar was routed to to accommodate a neck humbucker for thick punchy tones, as well in the center for a middle pickup, to create the opportunity for Strat-like sounds. The bridge pickup is the original stock pickup which gives you that bright, twangy attack.  You still get Master Volume and Tone controls and a selector switch to go between all of the pickups.  It's a 5-way switch, so essentially it's wired like a Strat:

  • Position 1: bridge pickup only
  • Position 2: bridge and middle pickups combined
  • Position 3: middle pickup only
  • Position 4: middle and neck pickups combined
  • Position 5: neck pickup only

If you're ready for more tones than expected from a vintage Tele, than this is your guitar!

The bridge itself has been replaced, but all of the other hardware is original, as is the finish.  The included case is vintage as well, but we can't say it's the original one, because it's tweed (research indicates that Fender did mainly black cases in 1975, with some brown, but not tweed).  However, it is a cool case!

The guitar has been setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop and is ready to roll.  While this may not be for the vintage collector looking for an all original mint piece, it's perfect for the player that wants something more and is down with mods.  The guitar is in good shape, with the normal wear expected on a guitar of this age - it's last for half a century, and is ready for the next half.  This is a super unique Tele for sure.
