Introducing the 1963 Telecaster Relic from Fender Custom Shop, expertly crafted to replicate the iconic guitars of Fender's golden age. Experience the perfect blend of vintage features and modern playability that the Fender Custom Shop is renowned for. A true masterpiece from a brand known for excellence in guitar craftsmanship.

The guitar features a two-piece select alder body, expertly aged in Relic lacquer Aged Lake Placid Blue, paired with a rift sawn maple neck. The neck has a '60s-style Oval “C” back-shape and a round-laminated rosewood fingerboard.  The modern touch is the 9.5" radius and narrow tall (6105) frets.  This is the most common modification to vintage-style guitars, and for good reason - this makes the guitar easy to play, especially when bending in the upper register.

The Custom Shop nailed the Relic work on this one - it's the perfect amount of wear, especially on the back of the neck, making the guitar a pleasure to play, while creating the perfect vintage vibe.

This Telecaster equipped with a Custom Shop hand-wound Original Blackguard bridge pickup, known for its throaty midrange and bite, and a Custom Shop hand-wound Twisted Tele neck pickup, known for its crystalline clarity. Together, these pickups offer astonishing versatility and deliver the classic Tele tone with a touch of Strat-like sparkle.  Additionally, the guitar is equipped with Fender's Modern Tele wiring with Greasebucket tone circuit and a 3-way switch.

Other premium features include  3-ply mint green pickguard, '58-'63 tele bridge with threaded steel saddles, vintage-style tuning machines, bone nut, and wing string tree.  The guitar comes with a Custom Shop branded deluxe hardshell case, strap and certificate of authenticity.
