Featuring a mahogany body, two-piece figured maple top, nitro finish, and Indian rosewood fingerboard, this guitar is expertly crafted with attention to detail. Enjoy an Authentic ’59 Medium C profile neck, which is super comfortable, especially for those that know what a '59 Les Paul should feel like. It's not a skinny neck, but it's not too thick - to many players, it's just right. Hide glue is used to help create incredible sustain and response.
Each component was carefully crafted to perfectly replicate the iconic 1959 Les Paul tone. The 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue VOS is equipped with unpotted Gibson Custom Bucker Alnico III humbuckers, widely considered the most faithful PAF reproduction available. This is the way to capture the sound of the original 1959 Les Paul. We've heard a lot of humbuckers here and these may be our favorites.
Historic Reissue models boast the Vintage Original Sheen finish option as standard. This exceptional treatment features lightly aged parts that create an authentic vintage patina. The nitrocellulose finish is carefully buffed to a subtle matte appearance, resulting in a guitar that embodies the feel and appearance of a well-preserved vintage instrument.
Other features include vintage-style Kluson single-line/single-ring tuners, and cellulose Trapezoid inlays accurately positioned to replicate the original. A hardshell case is included of course, as well as a Certificate of Authenticity.
