We at Truetone Music, in conjunction with Hofner Instruments of Germany, are very, very happy to bring to you a Truetone Music Limited Run of '62 Hofner Beatle Basses, in some very cool and funky colors!!
Traditional sound and feel with a cool modern(ish) look.
There are 5 different colors in all, none of which you would ever expect to see on a classic reissue of a vintage Hofner Bass, but we like to mix things up and keep it interesting.
Only one of each color was made, so get yours now before they can not be gotten any more!
The Hofner 500/1 violin bass was designed by Walter Hofner and launched at the Frankfurt Music Messe in 1956. It has since gone on to become one of the most recognizable electric bass guitars in the music world in terms of both looks and sound.
Two piece neck, two-on-a-strip tuners and unbound neck. Fully hollow body. Original '63 Hofner neck profile. Fitted with flatwound strings. For the fully authentic look and sound of the early 1960s this is the bass.
