Vintage 1982 Music Man Stingray Fretless Bass Neck Rosewood (Neck Stamp 1-22-82)
This neck was originally from a 1982 Music Man fretless bass - about two years before Ernie Ball bought Music Man from Leo Fender (and his two partners, Forrest White and Tom Walker). You will rarely see one of these out there, and for anyone that wants a great fretless neck, this is a great find!
The neck was removed and fitted on a different Music Man bass in 2019 by legendary guitar luthier, John Carruthers. That’s where it stayed until recently when the fresh fellows in the Truetone repair shop removed it from said bass, replacing the original neck back on the instrument for the customer. So, if you’re looking for a smooth, fast fretless bass neck, look no further!
Worth noting: the white fret lines were also painted in 2019 on by John Carruthers.
