Up for sale is an incredible Gibson Custom Shop reissue, this GIbson 1964 SG Standard! This awesome Cherry SG includes the classic Maestro Vibrola for expressive pitch bending and has all of the classic and vibe it had back in 1964, complete with the right specs and a lacquer finish. This particular guitar was originally new here at Truetone, sold to a long time customer of ours that only played it a few times, and is now back, available on a great deal.

The '64 SG Standard witnessed an iconic time in music as it was favored by legends like George Harrison and Eric Clapton. Additionally, the neck profile was enlarged to mirror that of the renowned 1959 Les Pauls, resulting in enhanced balance, playability, and overall aesthetic appeal. This particular SG Reissue boasts meticulous vintage specifications, from its original construction methods and red aniline dye finish to the replica electronics and chemically-recreated plastics, making it arguably the most impressive SG Reissue to date in terms of appearance, feel, and sound.
This SG guitar boasts a contoured mahogany body and a double cutaway for easy fingerboard access, making it a well-balanced and versatile instrument. Of course it is equipped with a pair of powerful humbuckers in the form of Custombucker Alnico III's.
