The Limited Edition 50th Anniversary 858e LTD merges the latest version of a Jumbo 12-string design but takes a vintage look from Taylor in the past.  They have created their version of a Jumbo 12 string utilizing the Grand Orchestra (GO) body shape while utilizing the old style look of an 800 series.  This includes the progressive diamond inlays on the fretboard, three ring abalone rosette and white binding.   This rosewood/spruce 12-string Grand Orchestra serves up big, lush, room-filling sound.

Only 1,974 (to mark the year of Taylor's founding) will be made for the world, and only available in 2024 to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of one world's most innovative acoustic guitar companies.

Embodying Taylor's commitment to making the most playable 12-strings, the 50th Anniversary 858e LTD combines an inviting handfeel with a rich, powerful “wall-of-sound” voice. This limited-edition acousticelectric pairs Indian rosewood back and sides with a Sitka spruce top in the form of Taylor's big-bodied Grand Orchestra — which harkens back to the classic rosewood/spruce jumbo 12-strings of Taylor’s early
years.

Of course, this edition boasts modern design elements like V-Class voicing architecture, which levels up the volume, sustain, pitch accuracy and touch sensitivity. The double-mounted string anchoring system (featuring a shared anchor point for
each string pairing) helps maintain a consistent string break angle over the saddle for optimal tonal balance in the voicing. Together with the rosewood/spruce pairing, players will love the deep, shimmering, highfidelity 12-string sound.

Clean visual appointments include a three-ring green abalone rosette, mother-of-pearl Progressive Diamond fretboard inlays, white binding with black and white top purfling, a faux-tortoise pickguard, and Taylor Gold mini tuning machines.

Special 50th anniversary touches include gold acrylic dots in the ebony bridge pins and a commemorative guitar label. The guitar includes onboard ES2 electronics and ships in a beautiful deluxe Western Floral hardshell case.
