 Fender 2013 Limited Edition American Design Burnt Ash Stratocaster - Never Played

A rare bird landed here at Truetone Music, 7 years after it originally made a brief appearance.  Here's the story....

Back in 2012, Fender held an event at the factory in Corona for top dealers, which Truetone Music was selected to attend.  We were able to order from a batch of small runs, exclusive to dealers at this event.  Included in this was this extremely cool Limited Edition American Design Burnt Ash Stratocaster.  When it arrived 6 months later in February 2013, we were all blown away.  Not surprisingly, the guitar never made it to the wall in our showroom - a longtime, loyal customer/friend/collector bought it immediately.  It never got used, and years later, this very special Strat has now found it's way back to Truetone.

What makes this run special is the Burnt Ash aspect of it.  At the time, Fender was experimenting with different wood treatments.  The bodies were taken outside the factory, burnt, and then finished to give each a truly unique and beautiful appearance.  The result was stunning.  To top it off, solid walnut necks were used, making these Strats totally different than anything Fender had done before (or since).

Now only does this guitar look amazing, but it's plays & sounds incredible.  The neck is super smooth, and has a comfortable 60's style "C" shape, with 22 medium jumbo frets.  It's outfitted with a 3-ply Black pickguard, loaded with Custom Shop Fat 50's pickups.

The original Fender/SKB case and everything inside of it is included - all paperwork, hang tags, strap, cable, cloth, etc.  It includes a Certificate of Authenticity signed by Larry Thomas, Fender CEO at the time.  This is number 76 out of 79 made.
