Do you want a guitar that can truly perform? How about one upgraded to really stand out with superior sound? Then here we go....
Check out this this Fender American Performer Telecaster HS, in Aubergine, modified with a couple of the best pickups you can find. This Corona, CA crafted Tele has the build qualifty you'd expect out of an American made Fender, You'll love the feel of this alder solid body with its iconic body shape with a "Modern C"-shaped with 9.5 radius and 22 jumbo frets for deep bending. Stay in tune with its classic bridge and ClassicGear tuning machines with silver '70s logo on the headstock.
Where this guitar really steps up is with the pickups. The previous owner knew what they were doing by putting these in. The works was done by the pros here in our own repair shop. Here's what's going on:
First, there's a Lollar Low Wind Imperial Humbucker in the neck position. Ideally suited for guitars that have a darker overall tone, the Low Wind Imperials produce more treble response and a tighter low end than the standard Imperial. Normally you wouldn't think of that for a Tele, but in this scenario, it really works. You get exceptional definition with the ability to cut through the mix and a wonderful presence.
The bridge position was also updated with a Seymour Duncan Antiquity Tele single coil pickup, which has the classic 50's twangy lead tone, custom aged aged for a smoother treble response, so you get a bright but not piercing tone. Built just like the originals in the 1950's, then altered to accurately portray one that aged and sweetened over the years.
All of this combines to make this the best American Performer Tele HS out there, that's for sure! As an added bonus, the guitar comes with a super nice deluxe Fender denim gig bag (it's more of a soft case).
This Tele is in great condition and has been setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop. It's a true winner that will likely be gone fast!
