Used 1994 Gibson Les Paul Special Modified TV Yellow with Case
We have a special Gibson Les Paul Special in TV Yellow from 1994! We know that's redundant but this really is a distinct Gibson Les Paul Special that has some great player upgrades.
The Les Paul Special first hit the market in 1955, experienced a considerable evolution near the end of the decade, and has been repeatedly reissued since then. Many renowned players, such as Bob Marley, John Lennon and Martin Barre, have favored the Les Paul Special and helped cement its legendary status in guitar history.
Now what makes this special so special is the upgrades. Instead of stock P90s this one features a Seymour Duncan JB in the bridge and a Seymour Duncan 59 in the neck. So now you've gone from P90s to a pair of powerful humbuckers. We checked the routing, and found it to be well done.
The neck is a comfortable '50s style shape with a little thicker profile than others. You still get the classic Tune-o-Matic bridge, deluxe tuners, and pickup selector with volume and tone controls for each pickup. There's a reason that this model has lasted for so many years - it's simple, and it's a winner.
The techs in our shop have setup this Les Paul Special to play perfectly. This guitar is in good condition with some player wear but nothing major, and the frets are in great shape. It comes with a hardshell case (non original). For anyone that ones a great American-made Les Paul and digs the idea of a Special modified with two killer humbuckers, this is a great find!
