This is a stunning example of classic Fender craftsmanship, with a beautiful 1/8”-thick piece of solid quilted maple hand-bent to the top of the alder body, plus a modern C-shaped maple neck with ebony fingerboard. It features a DH-1 humbucking pickup, two Samarium Cobalt Noiseless pickups and the S-1 switching system for endless tonal variety. Other features include a deluxe two-point synchronized tremolo with pop-in arm, abalone inlays and 22 medium jumbo frets.

To create the Samarium Cobalt Noiseless pickups, Fender partnered with legendary pickup designer Bill Lawrence, providing classic Strat tone without the hum, making this an excellent studio guitar.  Fender’s groundbreaking S-1 switching system allows players to switch pickup configurations in an instant. The switch is visually undetectable, located in the crown of the master volume knob.  One push of the switch will place your pickups in an assemblage of parallel, series and pickup-combining configurations. You can have the best of all worlds with this.  The bridge pickup is a Fender DH-1 humbucker, which matches up nicely and gives you some extra power.  Check out the specs below to review the exact switching capabilities.

The guitar features a special 60th Anniversary emblem on the back of the headstock, as well as a # 4 sticker that the previous owner applied.  The guitar is all original, though it appears to be a replaced trem arm, and does not have the backplate cover (we can put one on if you'd like).  It comes with a gig bag.  This is quite the score for anyone looking for a unique Strat!
