This instrument is from the personal collection of the late Brad Pie who played guitar in the 1990’s with the great Johnny Otis. Along with Johnny’s sons - Shuggie Otis (Guitar) and Nicky Otis (Drums) - Brad contributed guitar to the 1992 Grammy-Nominated “Spirits of the Black Territory Bands” by the Johnny Otis & His Orchestra group. Many of the instruments from Brad’s collection are uniquely modified and come with various customized accessories.
The guitar has been upgraded with custom knobs and a bullet switch tip, as well as locking tuners. The included gig bag also has a bonus - a really nice leather strap, cable, and clip-on tuner.
This ASAT Classic Thinline Bluesboy boasts a unique semi-hollow design and features a gorgeous Redburst finish that highlights the wood grain of its swamp ash and poplar body. With twin voice chambers and a f-hole, this guitar offers exceptional acoustics. Its bolt-on Hard-Rock Maple neck has a comfortable medium C profile and a rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets, all arranged in a 9.5" radius. The scale length is 25-1/2" and the nut width is a versatile 1 -5/8".
With its G&L AS4255C Alnico neck humbucker and Leo Fender-designed G&L MFD single coil you get a powerful tonal combination. The neck humbucker gives you thick warm tones while the single-coil brings you articulate chimey tones. These pickups with its semi-hollow body gives you even more highs and lows. You get a classic boxed-steel bridge with individual brass saddles that offer precision of intonation refinement.
The guitar has been setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop, is in excellent condition, and is ready to roll out!
