Vintage 1968/69 Hofner 500/1 Bass "Beatle" Bass Guitar German Made

This beautiful vintage Hofner bass is a wonderful player with an ultra cool vintage vibe.  The spruce top shows off some really eye-catching wide grain & the neck is super comfortable play, up & down the fretboard.  Professionally set up & ready for action!  Typical play wear for a 50-year old bass - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking & some finish wear.

The neck has a rounded maple neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots.  Beautiful dark rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays.  Frets are in great shape and the closed-back tuners are in good working condition.  1 5/8" nut width with zero fret; 30" scale length.  Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.

The Double-bound, violin-shaped body is the classic sunburst finish.  Carved spruce top with nickel trapeze tailpiece & adjustable bridge.  

Electronics:  Hofner "blade" pickups with large black bezels.  Dual volume controls with "tea cup" knobs.  Rhythm/Solo, Bass & Treble switches all in good working condition.

Does not include a case or bag.
