Used Collings 290 Tobacco Sunburst with OHSC

If you love iconic singlecut guitars like Juniors or Specials, you owe it to yourself to check out this Collings 290.  We just took this one in, and were blown away by how good it sounds, feels and looks.  That's the case with all Collings guitars but this 290 in Tobacco Sunburst especially stands out as a winner.

Crafted from a slab of Honduran mahogany, this single-cut guitar boasts a resonant body and an extra long Mortise and Tenon joint for added stability and sustain. The rosewood fingerboard features vintage-style medium nickel frets and ivoroid dots, and both the body and neck are finished with a nitrocellulose high gloss for maximum resonance and aging potential.

The Collings 290 boasts a duo of Lollar P90s which offer nostalgic tones and long-lasting quality due to their superior components. These robust single-coil pickups strike the perfect balance between the clarity of smaller coils and the richness of humbuckers. Additionally, the electronics feature DiMarzio 500K / Jupiter Vintage Yellow pots and caps.

The Collings 290 boasts a sturdy hardware design for optimal performance and tuning reliability. Included is a Kluson ABR-1 nickel-plated Zinc bridge, a Kluson Stop Tailpiece nickel-plated zinc, steel studs, and nickel Gotoh tuners featuring the Collings logo.

All in all this is an exceptional instrument that is in excellent condition and comes with its original hardshell case.   It's been setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop.

We don't see many previously owned Collings guitars coming through, especially not ones as good as this one, and don't see it lasting long!
