Used Fender Custom Shop 1957 Stratocaster Heavy Relic Dakota Red with OHSC

We just took in this killer Fender Custom Shop 1957 Strat, in the rarely seen color of Dakota Red.  This is a Heavy Relic, so it has all of the appearances of a guitar that has been played hard for years, with a ton of player wear.  It's not just about the aesthetic (thought it does look awesome!).  For those that know, it's about the broken-in nature.  This guitar has the super comfortable feel of a guitar that has been worn in for years.

The guitar features a lightweight alder body with a lacquer finish.  It comes in at just 6.9 lbs.  The maple neck has the period correct 57 Style Soft “V” back-shape, 9.5” fingerboard radius and 21 narrow tall frets.  So, it's vintage correct, but with the modernized tweak of a slightly flatter radius and taller frets for easy playing.  It's a super comfortable neck, perfectly worn in with the finish removed off the back.  

The pickup set in this guitar is Fender's most popular - the Custom Shop Fat 50's.  It's gives you the original, classic Strat sound that you know and love, but the hot-rodded wiring design delivers enhanced bass response and an extra shot of output.  The middle pickup is Reverse Wound, Reverse Polarity, to reduce hum.  These pickups sound amazing, and there's a reason it's the most request Strat pickup set out there.

Other features include Custom Shop vintage-style synchronized tremolo, vintage-style tuning machines, bone nut and a wing string tree with metal spacer. Also includes the original deluxe hardshell case, strap and certificate of authenticity.
