Up for sale, a 1977 Fender Mustang Bass. As Fender's premier short-scale bass, the Mustang Bass has gained increased notoriety in recent years for its tonal versatility, easy playability, and impressive thump when required. Strung with roundwound strings, this Mustang Bass delivers plenty of growl and roundness, with classic low end punch and clarity in the treble frequencies. Weighing 9lbs 4oz, this bass delivers the complex midrange and power of the solid ash body too. The maple neck has a round and chunky C shaped profile with generous shoulder and moderate increase in profile depth as you travel up the 30" scale. The neck is straight and the bass plays cleanly in all registers with no buzzing or dead spots. The nut measures 1 5/8" in width, and the headstock retains the original Fender-stamped tuners along with a clean and stock logo on the headstock face.
